Family doctor-centered care

Almost all health insurance companies in Bavaria offer their insured persons a family doctor contract. As a general practitioner, I am also involved through the Bavarian General Practitioner Association. If you have not already done so, you are welcome to sign up for such a family doctor contract in our practice.

What are the advantages for you:

  • More benefits in the preventive care area from the age of 35 (laboratory, ultrasound, etc.)
  • Closer integration with other service providers and the health insurance company; so some paths become shorter and necessary information flows faster
  • Support your general practitioner and general practitioners as a whole

For more information, please contact theBavarian Association of General Practitioners.

Care for chronic illnesses

The better a chronic illness is cared for, the easier it is to avoid long-term damage.

Most health insurance companies offer their policyholders participation in so-called "Disease Management Programs" (DMP) for certain diseases. We take part in the programs for

  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus
  • Coronary heart disease
  • Heart failure
  • asthma
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Medical checkups

In order to prevent diseases from developing in the first place, or at least to detect them as early as possible, we offer various preventive examinations:

  • Health examination

Between the ages of 18 and 34, all those with statutory health insurance are entitled to a one-off check-up. From the age of 35, an examination can be carried out every three years.

Blood lipids, blood sugar and kidney function are determined from a blood sample. Since August 2021, one-off tests for hepatitis B and C can be carried out at your request. We will also examine a urine sample, measure your pulse and blood pressure and check your vaccination status. There will be a physical examination and a detailed discussion.

  • Skin cancer screening

You are entitled to this every 2 years (insured persons in the LKK family doctor model annually). This involves a thorough inspection of the skin (including the scalp, oral mucosa and genital region) with regard to changes that are suspected of being cancerous. This is also done with a reflected light microscope and if necessary observable findings can also be photographed. In this way you can compare them in the following years and observe the development better

  • Cancer screening

For men over 45 as prostate prevention and for men and women over 50 as colon cancer prevention.

Prevention for cervical cancer and breast cancer is carried out by the gynecologist.
